I DO love bump shoots! When a girl's expecting her first bambino it's a really special time for her and her fella... they're excited, they're scared, they're wondering what in heaven's name they're letting herself in for, they're drooling over newborn clothes, they're thinking it might be a good idea to paint the nursery... Whatever - big changes are coming! So it's awesome to get them in front of the lens and share the love, the joy (and a modicum of the inevitable pants-wetting arrgghhh!!).

Therefore when lovely Katie and Danny asked me to capture the run up to their first baby I was super excited! They've got a short while to go (have to confess that I can't remember in weeks - only expectant and new mothers count things in weeks - the rest of us stick with things like "three and a bit months"). Anyway, we wandered through beautiful Rothampstead Park in Harpenden and made these shots. Simple yes, but when it's about people then it can be simple, because the important thing - the love - just shines right through.

Here are a few that I love of the happy expectant couple... I esp adore the ones of Katie punking it up in bump and black lace in the middle of the day (we got some interested looks I can tell you). Now that's girl power :-) xx
